Community Guidelines
Community standards for respectful sessions, safer meetups, and report/block tools.
Surf with Friends is for respectful surfers coordinating real-world sessions. These guidelines help keep the community useful, safe, and welcoming.
This content is intended as launch-readiness copy for Surf with Friends and should be reviewed before public launch.
Respect Other Surfers
Treat people with respect in profiles, sessions, messages, reports, and in-person meetups. Do not shame people for skill level, board choice, home break, age, background, appearance, or surf style.
No Harassment, Hate, or Threats
No bullying, intimidation, unwanted repeated contact, or personal attacks.
No hate speech, discrimination, threats, doxxing, or privacy violations.
No sexual, graphic, exploitative, or otherwise inappropriate content.
Meetup and Ocean Safety
Do not pressure anyone into unsafe conditions, isolated meetups, illegal access, trespassing, or behavior that ignores lifeguards, beach rules, local etiquette, posted warnings, closures, or personal limits.
No Spam or Fake Sessions
Do not create fake accounts, fake sessions, misleading locations, false RSVP activity, scam posts, suspicious links, bot activity, or repeated unwanted promotions.
Use Report and Block Tools
If someone violates these guidelines or makes you feel unsafe, use the app's report and block tools. For urgent safety or moderation concerns, contact surfwithfriendsapp@gmail.com.
